Icelandic AI-Level 2

A flexible, fully online course — learn at your own pace, on your own schedule.

This intermediate course helps you start communicating what you really want and need. You'll grow your vocabulary considerably, covering weather expressions, hobbies, chores, services, and health. On the grammar side, you'll take on modal verbs (þurfa, langa, vilja, mega, skulu) and locative adverbs (heima/heim, inni/inn, úti/út), turning simple phrases into sentences that flow. You'll also master all five conjugation patterns of the Present Simple, and learn to navigate the past, present and future in simple terms.

Your teacher is Sandra, an experienced Icelandic language instructor with over 7 years of teaching adult learners, click to learn more about Sandra and the Icelandic AI team.

This course offers 40–60 hours of intensive learning, combining video lessons, exercises, and speaking practice to build on your foundation in Icelandic. You'll reinforce your progress with quizzes and flashcards, get direct access to Sandra through a private learner community, and finish with a final exam, score and certificate.
